Game Overview:

Link's Crossbow Training is a cheap, entertaining little game that comes as a freebie when you buy the WiiZapper.

The WiiZapper is basically a light gun accessory for the WiiMote. By placing the WiiMote and the Nunchuck in the holsters, you basically created a handheld gun that you could use in all different types of shooting games.

To help promote their new item, Nintendo included a free demo game and plastered the name Zelda on to make it sell more.

At first, I would have told you that it didn't need the help. I saw the 30 unique levels as being enough to keep you entertained for quite a while. However, when I began to to near the end, having achieved platinum medals in all levels, I began to the game's poor replay value. Other than going back and trying to get all platinum medals, the game was a one and done dud.

The game's idea was simple enough: shoot targets, enemies, and other things to gain points, shoot them in a row to multiply your score, and eventually attain enough points to move on the next level. The game was a perfect fit for the WiiZapper, and really did a good job showing off the Zapper's abilities.

Overall though, the game was more a disappointment than anything else. I really did look forward to playing it, and once I beat it, there was nothing left to play for. But it wasn't like it was ridiculously expensive, so if you and your friends like to play shooting games, it's a fun game to play with friends.
