Game Overview:
Ocarina
of Time, released in November, 1998, was considered by most
to be the best game in the series, and one of the best games ever
made. This game introduced 360 degree play to the series instead
of the overhead view or the side scrolling view as used in the
previous Legend of Zelda games. It also featured enhanced graphics
that were better then any other game's graphics at the time.
The
overall game play of the game was great. It had great layouts,
and challenging dungeons. Hard bosses, and confusing puzzles.
Everything a gamers likes to see in a game. The Legend of Zelda:
Ocarina of Time had it all. But, sadly, like any game, Ocarina
of Time had its weak spots. But, with or without weak spots,
the crowd loved the game. The game introduced a whole new level
of game play for the Legend of Zelda series. It was the first
game in the series to feature 360 degree play, and it was a
big jump up from the days of overhead and side scrolling games.
The graphics also deserve praise, for they are without a doubt
the best (next to Majora's Mask) in the entire Nintendo 64 game
library. The only downside to the graphics are all of the glitches;
not glitches in the game, but glitches in the placement of the
graphics. (Like seeing Link through walls and whatnot.)
This
game is definitely the best game in the series, and probably
the best game ever created. The entire story of the game is
mind boggling and is so complex; and yet, it pulls the entire
series together. It is the first game in chronological order,
and is the game that explains the whole background to the entire
Legend of Zelda series. This is the best game in the series.
