Game Ending Text: This part is every word spoken by every character that speaks at the end of the game. GD
= Ganondorf Link walks into the final chamber to face off Ganondorf, King of Evil. Ganondorf is playing a large organ, with Zelda trapped in a rupee-like crystal above him. The Triforce begins to glow on Link’s, Zelda’s, and Ganondorf’s hands. GD = The
Triforce parts are resonating… Ganondorf raises his clenched fist and shows Link his Triforce piece. Waves of dark magic begin to flow out of Ganondorf’s fist, surrounding Link. N = Link! Ganondorf floats into the air, as the title Great King of Evil: Ganondorf appears on the screen. The epic battle between good and evil begins with Ganondorf isolating himself on a platform in the center of the room. Using the power of Light, Link defeats Ganondorf. GD = The
Great Evil King Ganondorf… With the last of his power Ganondorf releases an evil spell. The roof of Ganon’s Castle disappears and Zelda, in her crystal prison, floats down out of the sky. Her cage fades away and she gazes down at Ganondorf’s body. Z = Ganondorf…pitiful
man… The castle begins to shake as Ganondorf’s spell takes its effect. Z = Link,
listen to me! A countdown begins as Link follows Zelda out of the castle. When they walk out of the entrance, the castle begins to explode, and the tower falls. Link and Zelda gaze at the ruin that was Hyrule Castle. Z = It’s
over…it’s finally over… A tremor shakes the ground, and Link walks forward to examine the ruins. A ring of fire rises out of the ground, separating Link and Zelda. Ganondorf jumps out of the ruins, his eyes glowing yellow, and he calls upon the power of the Triforce and makes his last wish. He is transformed into a giant, pig-like beast, and the word GANON appears on the screen. Ganon swings his swords at Link, and Link blocks them using the Master Sword. The Master Sword is knocked out of Link’s hands and lands next to Zelda, on the outside of the ring of fire. N = There’s
no way he’s going to hold me back again! The final battle begins, but this time Link doesn’t wield the Blade of Evil’s Bane. Link improvises, using other items such as bombs, Deku nuts, and the Megaton Hammer. Link uses the items to attack Ganon’s tail, and after a few hits, the ring of fire fades away. Z = Link!
The Master Sword is here! Link runs to retrieve the Master Sword, and turns to face Ganon one last time. The ring of fire once again surrounds the battle arena. After Link hits Ganon many times, Zelda steps in and uses her powers to hold back Ganon. Z = I’m using my power to hold the Evil King! You use your sword and deliver the final blow! Link’s swords glow with the power of the gods, and he steps up to Ganon and takes the final blow. Blood scatters as Ganon is struck by Link. Ganon rises up in rage. Z = Six
Sages… The game switches to a cutscene in which we see the six sages, with Zelda, seal away Ganon. R = Ancient
Creators of Hyrule! The Sages use their power to open the gate to the Realm of Evil, which was once Sacred Realm. GD = CURSE
YOU…LINK! Ganondorf sinks into the Dark World as the sages close the seal behind him. Link and Zelda meet to talk after all the chaos. Z = Thank
you, Link… Link hands Zelda the Ocarina of Time. Z = When
piece returns to Hyrule… Zelda takes the Ocarina to her lips, and plays the Song of Time. Link is encased in a blue light and brought up into the sky. *Z/N =
Thank you… The credits begin to scroll on the screen, as the camera shows the different regions of Hyrule. The ending scene takes place in Hyrule field, outside of Lon Lon Ranch, where all of the races of Hyrule have gathered to have a party celebrating their newfound peace. Five colored balls of light fly over the land, stopping on the top of Death Mountain. The balls of light turn into the five sages, who gaze down at their land. The game draws to an end as Link reappears in the Temple of Time, standing in front of the Master Sword. Navi flies away upward, out of the window, and Link turns and leaves. The camera zooms in on the Master Sword as the words “Presented by Nintendo” flash on the screen. The video clip then shows us Hyrule Castle, and a young Princess Zelda staring into a window at Ganondorf. Link comes up behind Zelda and she turns around shocked, just like the first time we saw this scene. The game’s last picture is Link standing at the bottom of the stair in front of Princess Zelda. The words “The End” appear, along with “The Legend of Zelda – Ocarina of Time.” *These words are spoken as Link is being transported back seven years. It is unknown who says it. I, personally, believe it is Navi, but some thinks it could be Zelda. There is no proof one way or another, so I put both. Some also think it could be one of the sages. |
