Game Overview:

In short, The Legend of Zelda: The Mystical Seed of Courage was originally planned to be the third game in the Oracle series. The series was originally called the Triforce Triforce, with the three games called the Mystical Seed of Wisdom, the Mystical Seed of Power, and the Mystical Seed of Power.

Many different courses of action were taken for these games. Some of the workers on the game disagreed on what should be the game's content, and in the end both Capcom and Flagship, other game developers, were brought in to help created the game.

Both Nintendo and the other developers all agreed on one thing: they wanted to include some kind of connection between the games. They talked about using a cell phone-type connection to link the games, but ended up settling with a simple password system to link the games.

However, the password system provided problems while using a third game. So The Mystical Seed of Courage was cancelled. The Mystical Seed of Wisdom became the Oracle of Ages, and The Mystical Seed of Power became the Oracle of Seasons. The Mystical Seed of Courage was rumored to have been called the Oracle of Secrets.

Both games were released simultaneously, and the third game was gone forever. Nintendo never released any screenshots, so we knew next to nothing about it. However, a few details were known about it, but nothing else was ever discovered or released.

Known Facts:

  • This game was to featured Farore as the game's Oracle.
  • This game was to feature time travel, and puzzles involving the time of day.
  • Oracle of Ages was originally going to feature puzzles involving colors. When The Mystical Seed of Courage was cancelled, Oracle of Ages took the time travel theme.
  • No screenshots of this game exist.
  • The box was likely going to be green, with the game titled Oracle of (*). While one would assume it likely that it would be Oracle of Secrets, it is debated whether Farore would've gotten that title if she would've gotten her own game, as that game wouldn't have been about "secrets".
  • The game would have somehow involved the Book of Secrets.
