3 Articles - 3 Days: A Legend 10 Years In The Making

This year marks the tenth anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. To celebrate the birthday of the greatest game ever, Zelda Capital has decided to do a three-part special. We're entitling the project 3 Articles - 3 Days: A Legend 10 Years In The Making.

The project is pretty much self-explanatory. We will have three different articles on three different days. However, they are not just any days; the days will correspond with each of the three original release dates of the game in Japan, North America, and Europe.

The articles will each be based on Ocarina of Time, and each cover a different aspect of the now ten year-old game. The release dates are as follows:

Article 1: November 21, 2008 - Japanese release date
Article 2: November 23, 2008 - North American release date
Article 3: December 11, 2008 - European release date

Yes, I know the third article is a ways away, but you guys can deal. You can enjoy the first two articles until the third one comes, so I better not get any emails about it.

The first article deals with everybody's obsession with Ocarina of Time. It examines the details of what makes Ocarina of Time the game it is, and what caused it to rise to the top the way it did. It can be viewed here.

The second article ponders whether or not Ocarina of Time can be topped, using the fact that almost every modern game in one way or another contains derivatives from Ocarina of Time. It can be viewed here.

The third article relives Ocarina of Time's glory days with a look at what it achieved score-wise at its release, and where it stands now with the scores and reviews. It can be viewed here.
